๐ง How to flash the firmware to your tablet (common method)
Most guides suggest using Odin tool on PC. The general procedure:
- Download the correct firmware file for your exact model (SM-T220) and region (CSC).
- Extract the downloaded archive (with WinRAR / 7-Zip) to get either a single
.tar/.tar.md5file โ or multiple files (AP / BL / CP / CSC / HOME_CSC). - Install Samsung USB drivers and connect your tablet to PC via USB.
- Boot the tablet into Download Mode (e.g. hold Volume Down + Power + other buttons depending on model).
- Open Odin, and load the firmware files into the correct slots (AP, BL, CP, CSC or HOME_CSC). Important: Do not tick โRe-partition.โ
- Click โStartโ โ after a few minutes Odin should show โPASSโ and the device should reboot with the new firmware.
โ ๏ธ Warnings before flashing
- Make sure you download firmware matching your exact model (SM-T220) and region/CSC. Flashing wrong firmware can brick the device.
- Flashing usually wipes data (unless you use
HOME_CSCand know what you are doing). Always backup important data before. - Using tools like Odin carries some risk โ only proceed if you are comfortable, or get help from someone familiar.
